Website Purpose

This website provides an independent interactive map of the 2026 Alberta referendum results, geographic analysis, and related information and resources. It is not an official Elections Alberta website and is not endorsed by Elections Alberta or the Government of Alberta.

Acceptable Use

You may access and use this public map for lawful informational and research purposes. You may not use the website for unlawful activity; interfere with its operation, security or access controls; or attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, extract or reproduce the application's proprietary software, processes or methodology, except where applicable law expressly permits such activity. These restrictions do not limit lawful use of independently obtained public election data.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, original text, software, graphics, branding, maps, analysis, design and other materials are the property of Clayton Smith or his licensors and may not be reproduced, distributed, republished or used to create derivative works without permission. You may share links to publicly available content with proper attribution. Election results and geographic data from Elections Alberta or other third parties remain subject to their respective rights and licensing terms.

Preliminary Election Data

Results displayed on this website are based on preliminary data published by Elections Alberta. They are not necessarily final, certified, complete or free from revision, discrepancies or reporting anomalies. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the correctness, accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose of any results, geographic boundaries or related data. Consult Elections Alberta for authoritative results and official certification.

Voting areas are geographic reporting units, not necessarily polling locations or neighbourhoods. The voting-area map shows ordinary voting-area results; advance, mobile and special ballots are not assigned to those mapped areas and may be included in riding and provincial totals.

Information We Collect

No account is required to view the map. We may collect information voluntarily submitted through inquiries or communications, basic website analytics, and technical connection information necessary to host and secure the site. This website does not offer newsletter subscriptions or paid accounts.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visitor activity and improve the website. It may process pages visited, interaction time, device and browser information, approximate geographic region and online identifiers. Google Analytics currently loads when the site opens.

Email Communications

If you provide your name and email through the contact form, we use them to respond to your inquiry, not to automatically subscribe you to a mailing list. Please do not submit confidential datasets or other people's personal information through the public form.

Third-Party Services

Cloudflare provides hosting and security services, Google Analytics processes website usage information, and FormSubmit receives and forwards contact submissions. These providers have their own privacy practices and may process information outside Canada.

Data Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect submitted information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information voluntarily submitted through the site, subject to applicable laws.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. This application stores a local browser timestamp to decide whether to display the welcome message again after three hours without a recorded visit. You may manage cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
